Two years on City Road, and then a move east
Casablanca opened on City Road in 2023. In early 2026, as Ramadan began, it moved a few streets east into 112 Albany Road — a bigger room, rebuilt from the floor up.
Co-founder Zak had the tableware commissioned in Morocco and carried back: the hand-painted plates, bowls and jugs on every table were made for this restaurant. A clay oven went into the kitchen. Traditional tiles, wall plates and Moroccan objets d’art were set against a contemporary room.
The cooking is Moroccan and Levantine. Tagines and tangia from the clay, mezze and handmade fatayer, and brunch served until three every day.
